DR. X-RAY
Backstory:
There’s not much to say about X-Ray’s backstory. He was born with intense skeletophilia (skeleton fetish), meaning he is super duper attracted to skeletons and bones. He was always obsessed with them, but didn’t understand it at first. Eventually he realized that his fixation was a fetish and he decided to become a radiologist so he could look at skeletons all day long.
Personality:
X-Ray is a hard worker and spends a lot of time at his job. When he’s not working, he’s usually at home being a recluse. He has a closet wallpapered with x-rays he’s collected and he often shuts himself in there to just stare at them. He knows he’s strange and is often embarrassed of himself and his fetish. He goes through periods of self-loathing where he convinces himself that it’s wrong to look at skeletons and he must be messed up in the head, but looking at them makes him feel so good that he gets over it quickly. Still, he acts slightly uncomfortable at work when he’s around others because he doesn’t want anyone to figure out about his fetish. His coworkers think he’s a little weird, but he’s very good at his job so they never question his nervousness. Making friends with Artbeat has helped him a lot - they became close friends very quickly after he discovered her drawings of pony skeletons from her Creepy Pony work. Artbeat has shown him that there’s nothing wrong with how he feels and he should never be ashamed of himself.
